Belarusian forestry companies are set to promote eco-friendly photo tourism in the country. The first tours are to be held in Nalibokskaya Pushcha, BelTA learned from the press service of the Forestry Ministry.

The project to develop and arrange photo tours was launched by Belgosokhota hunting company. The project is called ECOhunt and is aimed at the broad public. “We have recently taken part in several large exhibitions where we outlined our vision of photo tours in Belarus. We saw that people were interested, therefore we plan to move further in this direction,” director of the enterprise Vadim Krutko said.

The upcoming photo tours are planned to be held in the Nalibokskaya Pushcha National Landscape Reserve. This unique place boasts more than 1,100 species of plants, birds, mammals and fish, 12 species of amphibians, and seven reptile species. This is a great place to make great photos.

At present Belgosokhota and the club of wildlife photographers of Belarus train volunteers to work as guides for the first group of photo tourists. “Tourists need to bring their own cameras. These do not need to be top-notch devices: today, even a camera on a mobile phone allows you to take a high-quality picture. As the project gains ground, we plan to launch equipment rentals,” the company added.
