The situation in the transport and logistics center remains calm and under control, President's Aide - Inspector for Grodno Oblast Yuri Karayev told the media, BelTA has learned.

Refugees have been staying in a temporary accommodation facility at the transport and logistics center Bruzgi near the Belarusian-Polish border for 44 days already. Yuri Karayev visited the center on 21 December.

"The situation here is calm and under control. The shelter has already established some kind of daily routine. There are no problems with meals. People are provided with everything they need. Individual issues are addressed promptly. Today, several women turned to volunteers for baby bottles and dummies. They were provided with what they asked for literally within minutes," Yuri Karayev noted. He stressed that refugees keep the shelter tidy and orderly. They have been complying with the fire safety rules. No attempts have been made recently to heat up food inside, as it happened in the first days.

Yuri Karayev noted that now there are about 600 people in the transport and logistics center. Basically, these are those who cannot or do not want to return to their homeland.
